“Located a short walk from Market Square and the Belfry, this hotel occupies an 1830s mansion with a private garden. The owners provide personalized service, and the hotel also makes it easy to rent bikes for exploring the area. Spacious, air-conditioned rooms offer a comfortable stay in a historical setting.”

helpful staff lovely garden secure parking pet friendly
The staff at the front desk was helpful. i liked the garden a lot and the excellent location surprised me. It's only steps from the town center. i found convenient, secure parking, and the hotel is pet friendly, which i appreciated (my dog is part of the family!). breakfast was good. (i especially enjoyed the fresh pastries).
i found the lack of a hotel bar a very small drawback.

an okay experience
quiet street clean neighborhood extra charge additional water
the hotel is on a quiet side street, about a four-minute walk to the town center. i felt safe, and the neighborhood looked clean (i like clean places!).
when i booked, i received an email stating that a baby bed would cost €20 per night. however, when i called the hotel, i was told that the charge would be the same even without a baby bed. the reason given was the extra towel and additional water usage in the bathroom.
I stayed for three nights in late november. the staff left very clear instructions for entry because i arrived after the check-in time. the location was convenient. I was about a ten-minute walk from the belfry. the hotel also provided private parking, which i found quite helpful.
the breakfast buffet felt somewhat lacking, it would have been nice with more options to choose from.
Dining
9/10
breakfast included fresh juice and eggs made to order. the variety of bread offered was notable, with several tasty choices. the breakfast area was well-kept, though a bit crowded during peak hours.
Facilities
8/10
the hotel had a pretty garden. the hotel offered secure, off-road parking. i noted bicycles were available for rent, though i did not use this service .

the hotel welcomes animals with a price supplement. it does not allow you to bring a small dog into the breakfast room. it does not even allow it in a carrier.

Acceptable, but Some Issues Noted
poor breakfast musty room
The breakfast setup left much to be desired. A lack of room for the number of guests having breakfast was a problem. The sitting room felt outdated and honestly, a bit musty to me.
